Deadliest Minecraft weapons in 2022
Once you get a weapon in Minecraft, you’ll want a stronger one. And a stronger one, and one so strong there isn’t one better… or is there?
Maxed Netherite Sword:
With axes going to get nerfed in the combat tests, swords will reign supreme (even though they already have in terms of dps). The maxed netherite sword a main source of DPS for the vast majority of players (who can afford it!) because of its versatility. Flaming touch, extreme knockback, massive damage, sweeping edge…
DPS (Java): 16.8
DPS: (Java, including fire aspect): 20.8
DPS (Max, Bedrock, Including fire aspect): 425 (with crit, 627.5)
Note: Although it theoretically is possible to reach that DPS, it is highly unlikely since you need to be able to hit 24 seperate targets in 1 second.
DPS (Single-Target, Bedrock, Including fire aspect): 42.5
DPS (Max, bedrock): 285
Damage per hit (JE, including fire aspect): 17.5
Damage per hit (BE, Including fire aspect): 21.25
For crits, multiply these by 150%.
Maxed Bow Charge:
Bows are another kind of weapon. They are a ranged weapon and fire arrows, but in this case, Arrows of Harming II, which deals 12 true damage (armor ignoring). This, plus the basic bow damage and enchantments, deal a lot of damage. It’s useful for dealing with melee enemies without getting hit yourself.
Max Damage Per Hit: 40
TNT:
TNT is an extremely deadly and massive damage weapon with unique features. It’s basically a bomb, but extra powerful, so powerful that it can one-shot an armored player. It can be spammed or used as ammunition for cannons, or both! It’s certainly an extremely powerful weapon, but isn’t cost efficient!
Max Damage: 62.5
Beds:
Beds (only in the nether or end!) will obliterate almost anything with its 97 damage explosion and flames if slept in. A very cheap yet powerful item. A full armored player doesn’t stand a chance against a bed, and neither do most bases. You really should try it! It’s super cheap yet powerful!*
*only works in the nether or end
Damage: 97 damage
Additional fire damage: +7 damage
Charged Creepers and End Crystals:
Charged creepers deal 127.5 damage, and so do ender crystals. Both of these can be turned into lethal and destructive weapons killing even the strongest players. Not even diamond armor can defend against such an attack.
In fact, on anarchy servers (servers with no rules that the overworld looks worse than the nether) end crystals are the main weapon due to their sheer power. To be honest, end crystals are underused in smps.
Fall damage:
Alright, i’ll admit, its kinda cheating putting this here. With a 100000 block fall, you take… well, about 99996 damage (probably), enough to kill literally anything except:
- Blaze
- Chicken Jockey
- Ender Dragon
- Ghast
- Magma Cube
- Phantom
- Vex
- Wither
- Shulker
- Bat
- Bee
- Cat
- Chicken
- Iron Golem
- Ocelot
- Parrot
- Snow Golem
These mobs are immune to fall damage
and of course you can’t forget about water, slime blocks, etc. If something lands on them then…. 0 damage!
/Kill
Contrary to popular belief, /kill only deals 34×10^38 damage, instead of infinite damage. In other words, its possible to survive /kill if you have enough HP – probably only possible via mods!
Anyway, /kill works on pretty much anything. It can even destroy groups of entities. It’s useful and fun to use against a really stacked player – but he probably won’t like it!
