How to use Mods in Minecraft Bedrock Edition
Mods are pretty cool. You can modify the game (like add new items, mobs, features, planes, etc.). This article will teach you how to use them.
Finding a Mod:
To find a mod, you can find one on google or use a mod app. However, sometimes, these websites or apps don’t work. The only Mod website know is Mcpedl. Of course, you could always search up “Mods for Minecraft Bedrock” and click on ones that you like. However, they might not work. Beware of computer viruses though!
Activating a Mod:
Step 1 is to download the mod. They should have a download button. Once it’s downloaded, restart Minecraft. Once you open Minecraft again, there should be a message on the top of your screen. If you see that, that’s good. Create a world or edit a world. To edit a world, go to the picture of a pencil next to the world you want to edit world and click on it.
Then look for the resource and behavior packs. Resource packs are for the texture, such as changing a creeper’s color from green to blue, or adding a new mob with a different skin then the current mobs in Minecraft. Sometimes you won’t see a behavior pack because it’s a texture pack, and texture packs just change the texture. Behavior packs change the behavior of a mob, how a weapon works, etc. If there are no new textures (like it makes all mobs rideable) you won’t find a resource pack.
Using the Mod:
To test if it works, try it on a new creative world. Then, test out the new things! Look at the spawn eggs as entities will be found there. If its a weapon, test it on a mob. Just one thing: be sure to check if it works. If it doesn’t, then tough luck. You’ll have a find another mod. After a while, you’ll probably find a website or app with mods that actually work. Stick to that website or app, as you won’t need to worry if it works and can save a ton of time.
